Senator Buruji Kashamu reolaces Mr Adeleke Shittu as the governorship candidate
Senator Buruji Kashamu replace Mr Adeleke Shittu as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), following the withdrew of Mr Adeleke Shittu from running from the election.
Mr Adeleke Shittu who was formally announced as the People’s Democratic Party candidate after a primary election by The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) withdraws voluntarily from running for the Election for Buruji Kashamu to take over.
According to Kashamu’s media aide, Mr. Austin Oniyokor he said the changes were made in order to increase the chances of the People’s Democratic Party’s of winning the governorship poll.
Also former presidential spokesman Reuben Abati still retained his position as the deputy governorship running mate.
Mr Adeleke Shittu was also present in the meeting, he also saw reasons to why he should let Buruji Kashamu replac him.
According to PUNCH confirms that Mr Shittu last week Friday signed the withdrawal letter and at the Senate he has informed INEC of his withdrawal from the race.”
